County Council At-Large | All of Salt Lake County
We recommend Zach Robinson (D). Mr. Robinson is a former Sandy City Council member and firefighter/paramedic. We find he brings needed experience, genuinely cares about representing everyone, and is a great listener.
His primary opponent is Kathleen Anderson (R); we’ve been deeply disappointed by her public statements about the LGBTQ and immigrant communities.
Gregory Beglarian (Constitution Party—could not find a website) is also running for this seat.

County Council District 3 | Parts of Murray, Taylorsville, West Jordan, Midvale, and West Valley
We recommend Mike Bird (R) or Luke Maynes (D), depending on your policy preferences. Mr. Bird has shown himself to be a principled leader good at building bridges and listening to everyone; we have also found him unafraid to challenge his own party.
Mr. Maynes is focused on affordability and conservation; we believe he is sincere in his desire to serve and would remain responsive to his constituents. Read their Tribune answers
Salt Lake County Sheriff | All of Salt Lake County
We recommend Rosie Rivera (D). Ms. Rivera is the incumbent in this race. Our take is that she’s working well with law enforcement and within her budgets, and is committed to genuinely serve the people of Salt Lake County well.
We note that her opponent, Shane Robinson (R), seems capable but is endorsed by local MAGA figures like representative Burgess Owens. In our opinion, he is running far to the right and most people govern like they campaign.
Salt Lake County District Attorney | All of Salt Lake County
We recommend Sim Gill (D) or Kent Davis (R), depending on your policy preferences.
We believe Mr. Gill, the incumbent, deserves credit for years of experience and effort in expanding therapeutic justice. (Although we preferred his challenger in the primary).
Mr. Davis is a seasoned prosecutor focused on consistent, documented decisions, endorsed by many local mayors and elected leaders.

Salt Lake County Auditor | All of Salt Lake County
We recommend Chris Harding (R) or Ali Cloward (D). A note: the Network of Utah Moderates also doesn’t believe auditors should be a partisan position—auditors should be competent professionals in their field.
Mr. Harding is a seasoned and a competent incumbent. We also find Ali Cloward (D) would bring valuable skills and experience to the role.
