Welcome to the Network of Utah Moderates
So glad you've joined us. Together, we can find good representation and change our state.
Welcome! The Network of Utah Moderates began as a group of neighbors echoing the same concerns: that Utah’s political landscape no longer reflects the values that have long defined our communities. Values like integrity, dignity, accountability, and a commitment to the common good.
We are ordinary Utahns who want to preserve and strengthen what has long made our state a wonderful place to live, work, play, and raise a family. Many of us come from traditionally conservative backgrounds. As we’ve gotten more involved in civic life, we’ve found ourselves increasingly concerned about recent political decisions and the direction of our nation and state.
We know many others feel the same way.
We believe that government should be of, by, and for the people, and we feel a deep urgency to connect with others, regardless of background or affiliation, who share that belief.
Increasingly, our political environment feels shaped more by national division than by local needs and priorities. Furthermore, newcomers and lifelong residents alike can find Utah’s political system difficult to navigate. Consequently, many opt out—not because they don’t care, but because they are unsure how to participate in meaningful and constructive ways.
We believe Utahns deserve access to clear information. To have a meaningful voice in the decisions that affect them. Our mission is to connect and empower moderate Utahns by providing reliable information, creating real-life connections with neighbors and candidates, and promoting meaningful actions that help better our state.
Working together, we can make a really big difference in the Beehive State.
What do we mean by “moderate” Utahns?
By “moderate” we mean people who are thoughtful, balanced, pragmatic, and willing to work together where it matters most.
Being moderate means valuing solutions over division, people over political theater, and community over ideology. It means believing that disagreement does not have to lead to hostility, and that principled compromise is not weakness—it is how functioning societies move forward.
Network of Utah Moderates is a place for all who care about thriving communities, representative leadership, and reaching across differences for the good of our state and nation. We’re working to make Utah’s civic landscape easier to understand and engage with.
What can I expect?
As part of this network, you’ll find:
Clear and accessible information about candidates, Utah’s political system, how decisions are made, and ideas for improvement.
